Getting to Llanwrtyd:

By car: on the A483 between Builth Wells and Llandovery

By rail: via the Heart of Wales Railway Line

Shopping

The local small town of Llanwrtyd, only a mile from Gwedd y Glyn and Dinas Farmhouse, has a good selection of amenities:

  • LWAS: petrol station; garage; Post Office; daily newspapers and magazines; food; fresh meat, fruit and vegetables
  • Premier Store: food and bakery
  • Cooks the Chemist: toiletries, toys, gifts
  • Cashpoint located on the square

For a larger shopping selection there is a Co-op, Spar and a Tuffins in Builth Wells (13 miles) and a Co-op and Nisa in Llandovery (11 miles). Located in Llandrindod Wells (20 miles) is a large Tesco and Aldi.

Both Tesco and Asda provide a home delivery service to the area. We are happy to accept your home delivery prior to your arrival – upon arrangement. Postcode for home delivery is: LD4 4AD.

Crafts/Gifts

Gifts and toys can be purchased from the local chemist in Llanwrtyd.

Builth Wells and Llandovery also have many little shops where gifts can be purchased.
